Lite-On 483S Help

My personal computer was fitted with a Lite-On 483S CDROM drive. It was very satisfactory, apart from the fact that if i ripped an audio track from a cd, there was often a "skip" at the end. I thought this was a software issue, but it turns out to be a firmware bug (this i only became aware of when reading the cd-recordable FAQ). The fix is on the DELL site, where they have a Firmware patch available for download. It worked very well for me.

Any sufficiently advanced bug is indistinguishable from a feature.
